Please Consider Camp Mujigae this upcoming Giving Tuesday!

In 2020, Camp Mujigae overcame the challenges presented by COVID to have a two-day virtual camp that was loved by kids and parents alike.  As we begin our 35th year of existence, Camp Mujigae is intent on providing our children and families with more great experiences in 2021, in whatever ways we can.  Please support our camp, so that we can continue to support our children and families through 2021 and beyond!

Giving Tuesday - A Global Generosity Movement

What is Giving Tuesday?

  • GivingTuesday is a global day of generosity that will take place on December 1, 2020.
  • GivingTuesday is a global generosity movement, unleashing the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and the world.
  • GivingTuesday strives to build a world in which the catalytic power of generosity is at the heart of the society we build together, unlocking dignity, opportunity, and equity around the globe.
  • GivingTuesday was created in 2012 as a simple idea: a day that encourages people to do good. Over the past nine years, this idea has grown into a global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity.
  • GivingTuesday is an opportunity for people around the world to stand together in unity—to use their individual power of generosity to remain connected and heal.
  • People can show their generosity in a variety of ways during GivingTuesday—whether it’s helping a neighbor, advocating for an issue, sharing a skill, or giving to causes, every act of generosity counts.
  • At a time when we are all experiencing the pandemic, generosity is what brings people of all races, faiths, and political views together across the globe. Generosity gives everyone the power to make a positive change in the lives of others and is a fundamental value anyone can act on.
  • GivingTuesday emphasizes opportunities to give back to communities and causes in safe ways that allow for social connection and kindness even while practicing physical distancing.
  • We all have gifts to give, and with social media, online giving, delivery, mail, and phones, there are limitless ways to use your generosity to support others.

How to Give on Giving Tuesday

Give Time
By volunteering, you can give something back, make a difference to the people around you, develop new skills, and learn more about issues affecting your community. The right volunteer opportunity can help you reduce stress, find friends, and even advance your career.

Give Voice
You’ve got the power and the passion to transform your community. By lending our voice to advocate for the causes and issues we care about, we can all be activists who affect the kind of change that makes our world a better place. Don't forget that you can make some of the most meaningful change within your own local community.

Give Dollars
Throughout our communities, nonprofit organizations are working tirelessly every day to make a difference in our communities. Donate to a nonprofit in honor of GivingTuesday. Find a nonprofit online or via your local U.S. community or global GivingTuesday movements. Learn more about nonprofits and the social sector with these resources.

Give Talent
Many nonprofits are understaffed or operating on a small budget and can’t afford the marketing, technology, or planning resources that their missions deserve. Consider giving your skills to help a nonprofit.

Give Kindness
A seemingly small act of kindness has the power to inspire generosity that can permeate society and catalyze change. Buy someone’s lunch, text someone to tell them you’re grateful to know them, or compliment a stranger. It matters more than we can ever know.

Share Why You Give
When we share our generosity, we inspire others to give back too. Share how and why you're giving back on Giving Tuesday by posting your #UNselfie on social media. Share your story on social media about why you give and inspire others.
